Michigan author Jeffrey Caminsky marked the release of his latest books by holding a lunch-time booksigning for friends and colleagues at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice in downtown Detroit.
Caminsky, an assistant Wayne County prosecutor, appeared at a Pop and Pizza event in the building that houses the criminal courts for the city of Detroit. Among the books offered was his newest novel, The Star Dancers, the latest book in his Guardians of Peace science fiction series. Also offered were The Sirens of Space, the first novel in the series, The Sonnets of William Shakespeare, his book on Elizabethan poetry, The Referee's Survival Guide, his book on soccer officiating, and All Fathers Are Giants, a collection of his father's short stories.
The event was well-attended, with many members of the staff stopping by to make a purchase, wish him well, or simply to eat pizza.
Sales were brisk, but the event soon ran out of pizza.
